Longrigg independent hostel is available for group bookings of 12 or more.

Longrigg Residential Centre is located within walking distance of the village of Sedbergh. Being only 10 miles from Kendal and less than 10 minutes drive from the M6 this is an ideal location for exploring the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. 

The centre stands in its own grounds being 10 min walk from the village and overlooks the unspoilt splendour of the Howgill Fells. Perfect for mixed groups or families. Walking, cycling, canoeing, and caving are nearby with options for all levels and the Lake District is only 20 miles away.

The Centre holds an Adventure Activity Licence and you can pre-book activities from £35 per head dependent on group size and activity choice. Click on the Activities tab to find out more about what we can provide during your stay.

The centre has 3 buildings. The main house has the kitchen, lounge and dining room with 2 dormitories sleeping 6 each. There is a larger separate building sleeping 20 in 4 dormitories of 2, 4 ,6 and 8. Both buildings have ample shower and toilet facilities. The Longhouse has a games room with TV, pool table and table football.

Sleeping bags and pillowcase are required. The large kitchen has all the necessary equipment for group catering.

The lounge is equipped with easy chairs and gives access to the patio area. There is a drying room.

Entry is by a touch lock system.

The centre is owned by Action4Youth and complies with all the relevant Health and Safety requirements.
